This year’s 3rd edition of the GSCM will bring together policymakers, industry leaders, startups, investors, and stakeholders to explore actionable strategies. As we put together highlights from the panel discussions, every effort is being made to design an engaging agenda that truly reflects the challenges and opportunities in the semiconductor world.

Global Semiconductor Conference Malta

The semiconductor industry remains one of the world’s most strategic and rapidly evolving sectors. Its global supply chain is highly complex, with certain regions developing concentrated expertise and strategic specialisations across the value chain. Malta, with its long-standing commitment to the sector, has positioned itself as a key European hub for semiconductor innovation, knowledge, and operational excellence. The country excels particularly in backend processes, including advanced packaging, while recent developments in emerging niches continue to expand Malta’s footprint in the global semiconductor ecosystem.

Building on the success of previous years, we are proud to announce the third edition of the Global Semiconductor Conference Malta (GSCM), taking place on November 116-17,2-26. This year’s conference, under the theme “AI and the Great Semiconductor Divide: Strengthening Europe’s Competitiveness,” will explore the critical intersection of artificial intelligence, technology leadership, and Europe’s strategic role in the semiconductor race.

The event will convene leading industry executives, analysts, innovators, startups policymakers, and venture capitalists to engage in high-level discussions on the challenges, opportunities, and strategies shaping the future of the semiconductor sector. Attendees will gain insights into how AI is transforming the industry, how Europe can bridge technological gaps, and how collaboration across the semiconductor value chain can bolster competitiveness on the global stage.

Topics will include:

  • From Lab to Fab: Leveraging Pilot Lines for Industrial Growth
  • AI & the Value Chain Divide – Avoiding a two-speed ecosystem and ensuring broad-based benefits
  • Competence Centres:  From Centres to impact – Companies perspectives
  • Made in Europe & Strategic Autonomy – would this deepen the divide or strengthen the Union?
  • Women in Semiconductors - Driving Diversity, Innovation, and Growth
  • ChipStart EU Cohort Startups – Winners

The programme will be curated by Malta Enterprise, the country’s economic development agency, in partnership with Silicon Catalyst EU Ltd, in partnership with Silicon Catalyst, the world’s only incubator and accelerator dedicated exclusively to the semiconductor industry. GSCM continues to serve as a vibrant platform for dialogue, collaboration, and the formation of strategic partnerships, driving the growth and innovation of the semiconductor sector across Europe and beyond.
